|Objectives:Presentation of the principal phytogeographical classifications of the vegetation of Rio Grande do Sul state. Distribution of different forest types, their structure and principal ecological characteristics. Principal taxa in the different forest types. |
Outcomes:Provide knowledge on the principal forest types in Rio Grande do Sul state and the most important species that characterize the different strata. At the end of the course, students will be able to work with botanic material and know how to get the information necessary for identification of plant species, considering both reproductive and vegetative organs.
